Health News this week =========================================================== In so many cultures food is the only way to celebrate. This could be a graduation party, a marriage, a birthday, or even death. There is something about food that comforts and excites. I definitely am a good food fan.
This weekend I am attending my sister’s wedding and the first thing I thought of was whether there is enough food for guests or not. And these days we really don’t need to peel vegetables and prepare some stews like our mothers did. There are quite a few catering companies to choose from.

4.1 Egg Consumption Poses Risks for Diabetic Men A new study suggests that consuming more than six eggs a week seems to raise the risk of dying from all causes. Diabetics seem to face an even higher mortality risk, according to the study that was limited to men.
"The more eggs diabetic men consumed, the more they increased their risk for death," said Dr. Luc Djousse, an associate epidemiologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital and an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School in Boston. (SOURCES: The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition)

4.2 Health Tip: Weight Gain During Pregnancy
Women who are at a healthy body weight before pregnancy should gain between 25 pounds and 37 pounds, the American Pregnancy Association says. It offers this additional information about weight gain during pregnancy: 1. Women who are underweight before pregnancy should gain between 28 pounds and 40 pounds. 2. Women who are overweight before pregnancy should gain between 15 pounds and 25 pounds. 3. Eat healthy meals with sufficient calories, and avoid eating fatty foods and junk food. 4. Eat a daily well-rounded diet, including three servings of milk, yogurt, and cheese; three servings of protein; three servings of fruits; four servings of vegetables; and nine servings of whole grain products. Our Take on this: Never try to lose weight whilst pregnant. However excessive weight gain is unhealthy too.
