FunHealth #054 --, Healthy Valentine 's Day to you!!! February 06, 2008 |
||
| Hello, Valentine's Day Issue
1. Love can be Healthy. 2. Keep it healthy. 3. An opportunity to get published. 4. Current Health News
Any plans for valentines’ day yet? I can always suggest if you allow me, a home cooked meal by you and your partner, some candles and drinks followed by the ever needed healthy doze. If you don’t have a partner to celebrate with, count yourself lucky as you don’t have to be thinking of what gift to get your partner. That can be a very stressful exercise, take it from me.
A lot is happening at healthfun-ps.com this week. We have our ever so popular Valentine’s Special. Don’t miss out on a 50 percent off if you want a home business or extra income. Please check our special out. The reason we sent FunHealth Newsletter so early this week.
We also talk healthy diet basics, healthy cooking, more sleep and the most delicious avocados. Did you know that 200g of avocado provides you with 100 percent of daily vitamin A needs, 30 percent of vitamin B6 and a lot more fiber than most fruits. I say indulge and create a lot more interesting meals. The article on cooking to lose weight is very rich on advices even for the lousiest chef.
Remember to love responsibly this Valentine’s Day. Absolutely NO stalking, NO too much flirting and partying and NO excessive drinking. Enjoy within limits and spoil those you love and allow them to spoil you in return.

4. Health News Highlights this Week:
Daytime Nap Boosts Memory A 45-minute midday nap can help boost your memory and remember facts, but only if you learned them well in the first place, a new study suggests. Sleep appears to help "set" these declarative memories and make them easier to recall, the researchers said. (SOURCES: Feb. 1, 2008, Sleep)
Folic Acid Helps Prevent Premature Birth Long known to help prevent birth defects, folic acid may also help prevent premature births, new research suggests. A team of U.S. and Irish researchers found that women who took folic acid supplements for a year or longer before conception had a 70 percent decreased risk of preterm birth between 20 and 28 weeks of gestation. (SOURCES: Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine annual meeting, Dallas) Age 44 Marked The Peak Of Depression For People Around The Globe. People around the globe hit the height of their misery and depression in middle age, a new international study suggests. The finding was based on an analysis of well-being among approximately 2 million people in 80 nations.
With few exceptions, the observation appears to apply across the board, regardless of gender, culture, geography, wealth, job history, education, and marriage or parental status. (SOURCES: 2008, Social Science and Medicine)
