===========================================================

Some of the daily health struggles we have and get so used to are so easy to get rid of. Nothing beats a healthy diet, being active, enough water and fiber and maintaining good relationships.

A number of women who constantly send me emails complain mainly about obesity; low energy; sleep problems, mood swings, memory impairment, depression, anxiety, vaginal dryness, irregular periods, excessive and rapid weight gain to low sex drive and more. I know it as I come from there.

I cannot remember the last medical consultation I had with my doctor, except for my annual medical checks. Taking care of oneself should really be a priority. Our bodies are our only shelter and should we live to a golden age, we would wish we took a little more care of ourselves.

I am this week promoting an Ebook on hormonal balancing. The symptoms above are a few of imbalanced hormones. Anyone can achieve a state of total balance with clear skin and hair. Please check the ebook page.

4. Health News Highlights this Week:

4.1 Another Study Sees Heart Risks in Hormone Replacement Therapy

Another study confirms that hormone replacement therapy should not be used in older women to help prevent heart disease, although it appears to be safe and effective in relieving menopausal symptoms in younger women. According to the study, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) in older women increased the risk of cardiovascular problems and blood clots, the study found.

4.2 Health Tip: Female Infertility - A list of possible causes

About 7.3 million females in the United States aged 15 to 44 had difficulty becoming pregnant or carrying a baby to term in 2002, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services lists these factors that may contribute to female infertility:

• Age.

• Stress.

• Unhealthy diet.

• Being overweight or obese, or significantly underweight.

• Strenuous exercise.

• Smoking or drinking alcohol.

• Sexually transmitted disease.

• Health conditions that affect hormone production.

Our Take on this: Get educated to fight infertility. It is possible to do it without drugs.

4.3 Health Tip: Managing Menopause - How to deal with symptoms

If hot flashes and other symptoms of menopause are cramping your style, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services offers these suggestions:

• Eat a healthy, balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean meats.

• Get plenty of regular exercise.

• Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) may help certain women, but it carries medical risks. Discuss HRT with your doctor.

• Foods rich in soy may help some side effects, such as hot flashes.

• Get plenty of sleep, and maintain a regular sleep schedule.

• Avoid caffeine and alcohol.

Our Take on this: The ebook launch is today.

4.4 Early HRT Protects a Woman's Heart - But contraceptives heighten risk of arterial problems, studies find.

New research finds that hormones at any age can pose heart issues -- good and bad -- for women. One study reaffirmed that hormone replacement therapy (HRT) started earlier in a woman's life has a protective effect when it comes to coronary heart disease. Our Take on this: Read the Quote below.

===========================================================

”A difficult choice that faces women today is whether they take a chance of getting a relief through HRT which could result in further health complications, or they live with the discomfort of imbalanced hormones. That is a very difficult choice to make indeed." Nombini Kutta-Mathye
