The Demonstration of the Love of God*But God demonstrate his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5: 8 The death of Lord Jesus Christ is the ultimate demonstration of the love of God to mankind. There is absolutely no doubt that God loves Christians. The human explanation is that He loves them because they are righteous. People who do not know the Lord tend to think that God does not love them or are nor sure of his love toward them. This is exacerbated by the message the church is giving to the world. We often condemn people instead of telling them how much God loves them. The true message of the Gospel is that God loves us both Christians and non-Christian. This was demonstrated when Christ died for us while we were still sinners. It had nothing to do with our actions. There is a belief that the problems of mankind like disease (HIV/AIDS), natural disasters and other problems are brought about by God. God said ‘I am the Lord who heals you’ Exodus 15: 26. He also says that ‘call unto me when you are in trouble and I will answer you…’ Jeremiah 33: 3. Surely God wants to bring peace and happiness in our lives. He wants to do that because he loves us. The only way one can love him back is to obey his word. The first thing to do in obeying him is to accept his son Jesus Christ. * All scripture readings are from the New International Version of the Bible.
