Bad Fats

Bad fats and your heart health definitely have a negative relationship. However, not everything you ever heard about “fat being bad” is correct. A fat-free diet is unhealthy, and limiting to the amount of nourishment your body needs. If you want to lose weight, you need fat, to burn that fat. A wonderful truth the scientists discovered. However, not all fat is good for you.

Animal Products

Limit your intake of saturated fat, trans fat and cholesterol to keep low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol low and thus reduce the risk of heart diseases . You don’t need to cut the animal products out of your diet; however reducing the intake to a small portion of your overall calorie intake will do wonders for your health. The animal products will include full cream dairy products, fatty meat, butter, etc.

Hydrogenated Oils

Partially hydrogenated vegetable oils are loaded with trans fats. Reduce the use of these oils when preparing your dishes. Olive oil and other healthy fats is the best substitute.

Cholesterol

Again, bad cholesterol is only found in animal products. Never be deceived by the “0% cholesterol” label in the vegetable oils and other products. Vegetables never have cholesterol. The eggs and organ meats are known to contain high levels of cholesterol. Other meat products also contain cholesterol, including fatty shellfish, poultry and dairy products.
