CV Review
CV review needs to be done as often as one improves on her qualifications and experience. If one gets a promotion, attends a course, gets a new qualification or even an added responsibility in the current job; it should reflect in one’s resume. Make the updates as soon as possible. It is very possible to forget adding important details when you are doing that quick update before emailing it to the prospective employer.
Per Application Adjustments

There are also adjustments that have to be made for every application. This is done to reflect the requirements that are specified in the advertisement. | All job advertisements will have an emphasis on particular skills and competencies. If management is emphasized, let your management exposure reflect strongly in your CV.
When its specific technical expertise needed, list your relevant diplomas and certificates with detailed information of the course content and the detailed experience in that particular area of specialization. An example is when a job in the transport sector is being advertised, and your aviation experience has to be detailed and your Transport Economics diploma mentioned with a summary of the course content.
Everyday Experience
Now, there is the good experience that we usually neglect. The organization skills we learn at home from helping our sisters with their weddings. The teamwork spirit that we practice when we share our chores with our siblings goes a long way to prepare us for the future jobs. This always comes in handy as the additional skills in a resume or interview. This doesn’t have to be written in detail. A simple “Good organizational skills” or “Good at working in a team” will do.
Some of the work experience from your temp jobs will have equipped you better than you think. Try to list all your previous jobs including temp positions in a piece of paper, draw a vertical line in the centre and list the lessons you learnt from each job in the second column. This could be s 20 minutes exercise which will make you look at yourself and experiences with another eye. Every CV review
has to include this exercise.
Starting Small
Remember that a small position will lead to a higher one. Don’t stress too much and be in a hurry to get a higher position that you are not ready for. Get a smaller position initially, work very hard and build up experience to get the job of your dreams later. High positions come with high level responsibilities.
