Do Not Worry
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your request to God.
Philippians 4: 6

Human beings are naturally inclined to worry when they have problems and yet the scripture passage quoted above says we must not worry about anything. Whatever problem we may have we are not to worry. | When I have a problem, sometimes it feels irresponsible not to worry, God is telling us today that it is not irresponsible but that is what is expected of us, that in the face of the worst situations that we may face we will still laugh and rejoice in the Lord.
Instead of worrying, God expects us to
come to Him in prayer
and supplication and ask what we want. Jesus said to us ask and it shall be given to you, knock and the door will be opened for you. He is saying when the door is closed in front of you, do not sit down and worry but knock and the door will be opened. Note that the author uses the words ‘…in do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer…’
Also note that it says that we should bring the petitions together with thanksgiving. Why? Because we know that we receive when we ask, so we thank him for giving us.
When Joshua was to take charge of the Israelites, God told him to be courageous. This is the best attitude for success.
Determine today not to worry about anything but to thank God as we cast our burdens to the Lord for he cares for us.
