Goal Setting
Goal setting keeps one focused in all areas of one’s life. Every human being is a visionary. The scripture: “Without a vision, men perish,” is real indeed.
When setting goals, analyse your past, current and future state. This is especially true when it comes to your career path. Ask yourself specific questions:
1. Am I where I want to be?
2. Am I happy with the nature of my job?
3. Do I wish to be somewhere else, doing something else?
4. Do I have a healthy professional relationship with my colleagues and office mates?
5. Is my job costing me quality time with my loved ones?
6. Do I take work home most of the time?
7. Is my current job my main source of stress?
If you answered “YES” to most of the above questions, you need to consider setting new career objectives for your self. Your job is not supposed to be the primary focus in your life. Create the balance between all the spikes of your wellness wheel. More on the balancing act in our
Wellness page.
A promotion can mean spending less and less time with your family, more money and less happiness or sacrificing your soul matters. Decide on what is more important to you. Set your career goals based on your Spirituality, relationships and health.
