Treating Hormonal Imbalance with HRT

It may seem that Hormonal Replacement Therapy (HRT) makes perfect sense to treat hormonal imbalance. For that matter it is the therapy designed to target the hormone that is in deficit. Unfortunately life is not that simple.

HRT is suspected to cause further complications to the patients. It may increase the patients’ chances of breast cancer, blood clotting, and even heart attacks. This seems to be the case for both healthy women and those with a heart disease.

This definitely becomes worse with the heart disease patients and women with a family history of breast cancer. If anyone has to have HRT, we would advise her to take the lowest possible dosage for the shortest possible period.
