Kids being Real Kids

May 25, 2009: Kids being Real Kids

We live in a small guarded complex. I have grown to love the complex and to actually fall in love with the house, my home. I never thought I would get used to this house. I knew that I will fall in love with Maputo ultimately but not with this house. I loved the idea of it being by the beach, not really one of those blue watered beaches but nonetheless, a beach.

My son is the one who is "head over heels" in love with our new home. He loves his new friends. Sadly there is no boy, but he is so at home with the girls. At the moment we are still waiting for out TV sets. And yep, they are still sailing the seas as they are shipped from our former home. The truth is… leave thing to the employer and they will never get done.

Now my son has limited entertainment. We tried getting some electronic stuff like games, etc. Everyone warned us that they may be grey products. I think it might be attitude but I listen to advice. I loved the wooden cars and aircrafts sold on the street but the selling etiquette or absence thereof, just puts me off. Street vendors will follow you for blocks and blocks of streets lowering their asking price all the way. If I say I don’t have cash with me, I really mean that for heavens sake. I think I will have to get used to this and start being understanding. It doesn’t help being annoyed by these insignificant issues.

In all my son gets to visit neighbors quite often. So that he plays games and watches TV. I can’t buy any more games than he already has. Besides I am trying to cut down on my expenses just until this website gets me where I want to be income wise. Something that seems to be quickly happening, thanks SBI.

This website has changed my life, for the better.
