Life-Changing Events

HOME . Life-Changing Events: My Own Story . Crisis Management

I want to stone these people who have life-changing experiences, and it all happens right away. For me, it has been a process, a long process of learning and study. Willie Aames

We all have gone through a life-changing events at one stage in our lives. Be it good or bad; great or sad; scary or empowering; it remains life changing. It could be in your relationships, career, social, spiritual or in any other aspect of your life.

What is a Life-Changing Event?

A life-changing event is a situation that leaves you changed for the rest of your life. I know people who were changed by bad events in their lives for the better. A divorce that was bitter can indeed change a person to a more caring and patient individual. Whilst a good career success can turn a person into a self centred and less understanding individual. A death of a loved one can change you for the better in many ways. These are a few of the experiences that shape our characters.

There is no way of avoiding life-changing events. All you need to do is to turn them around for your benefit and those around you. There is always no use crying over spilt milk, your partner can re-marry you but there is no undoing the damage that the divorce has caused, your dad can show more love and care now but will never go back to be a loving parent you needed as a teen. All you need to do is to accept the current state, deal with the past and go on with you life being a wiser and changed person.
