The Way to Success in 2007

It is that time of the year again when people look at the year that has passed and in preparation for the coming year make resolutions for the New Year.

As you set New Year resolutions I just want you to consider what God said to Joshua as he starts his term as the leader of the people of God. Certainly it is important to consider these instructions because Joshua was beginning a challenging task of leading God’s people. He had wars to fight. There were walls he had to break. There were rivers to be crossed.

We don’t know what is going to happen in 2007. There may be difficult things we will need to deal with. Moreover God expects us to move to another level of glory. As you plan for 2007 consider putting the following as new years resolutions for 2007:

• Determine to be strong and courageous: even if you feel weak continue to confess your strength in Christ (Let the weak say I’m strong Joel 3: 10)
• Obey the Word of God
• Confess the Word of God (Confess what the Word says about you. Never say anything that contradicts the Word of God. Let His Word be a final authority in your life)
• Meditate on the Word of God

The results: Then you will have your 2007 successful and prosperous.
