Teens Dreams and Ambitions

Teens dreams and ambitions; plans and goals and a firm vision can help a teenager to build a bright future. We all have to have passion for something, have dreams and ambitions about our skills and passions, set goals and implement the plans. Without set goals we are unlikely to achieve our dreams.

Set Goals

Your dream could be being a movie star or an accountant. That dream does not say much, does it? That’s the role of setting goals. When do you want to be an accountant? How are you going to achieve that? You need a pen and paper to write a clear plan with set deadlines and more details. Forget a pen and paper, check the table at the end of this article and draw a similar table.

You basically break down your dream into smaller goals. Then set deadlines like, what you will have achieved in 6 months. If you choose to have “musician” dream, then your goals could be training, networking, getting an agent, etc.

Attitude

Success is 10 percent skill, 20 percent talent and 70 percent right attitude. Your talent and skill alone won’t take you places, but the right attitude, even without much skill will. Work on your attitude; be approachable, pleasant and receptive of correction by others. You will attract correct people which will open doors for you.

The “I CAN” attitude always wins at the end. If you believe you can’t, you really can’t. Set your mind on your dream, visualize achieving it and let the distractions pass by, you will achieve more than you wish.

Stick to your Plan

Sticking to your plan for teens dreams and ambitions could be the most difficult part, but the most important. Its very nice setting goals; think about New Year Resolutions. How many really stick to their plans? Try to stick to your plan as much as you can, unless a better way comes your way. Just make your plan better every time you get an advice or a tip. Now have your goals papers stuck on your wall as a reminder that you need to keep the promise you made to yourself.

Handling Hiccups

Believe me, you will get a couple of hiccups to distract you along the way. These could vary from financial needs to negativity from family members and friends. Keep believing in your dream regardless and approaching people who also believe in it. There may be only one person who believes you can do it, and that is enough for you to get support.

A little bit of confidence will drive your dream. Build confidence and believing in yourself is invaluable. Get some training in the area of your dream if you need to do so.

You can also have your own website to boost your confidence. I know teenagers who are doing very well running their websites.
