Your Difficult Circumstances will Produce Joy

Your Difficult Circumstances will Produce Joy. Troubles, suffering and persecutions do not mean that God is not with you.

  • He was despised and rejected – a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief.
  • . …And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God
  • He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word.
  • Unjustly condemned,
  • He had done no wrong and had never deceived anyone
  • But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief.
  • He will enjoy a long life, and the lord’s good plan will prosper in his
  • hands.
  • When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied.
  • And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be righteous.

Isaiah 53: 1-12 (NLT)

Isaiah 53 is the prophetic message about everything that happened to the Messiah. Everything that is written in the chapter happened to Jesus Christ. However, the interesting part of this message is the observation of the things that happened to him and what people thought about it compared to what God new about the situation. The scripture says that he was despised and rejected; He was oppressed and treated harshly. He was unjustly condemned, yet he had done no wrong and had never deceived anyone. When all these things happened to him the people thought it was his fault that he had to go through all that. But that was a human mind finding reason for things that were beyond their comprehension.

However, God knew exactly that Jesus Christ was not being oppressed because he had sinned. The scriptures say that, “…it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief. So Jesus was within God’s will when he experienced all the trouble until he was hanged on the cross and buried in a tomb. One would ask then that if God knew all this why he would allow him to go through such suffering. Isaiah 53: 11 gives us an answer to that. It says that, “When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous.”

Fellow Christians, troubles, suffering and persecutions do not mean that God is not aware or is not with you. Actually, the scriptures indicate to us that when you lead a godly life you will be persecuted. But it is pleasing to know that just like Jesus, when the reason for your experience is revealed, you will be satisfied. Paul said that he went through difficulties and the Lord comforted him. And because of that experience, he is able to comfort those who go through similar experiences. The experience may not be good, but the scripture says that we must thank the Lord in all circumstances because it is God’s will. This calls for us as Christians to believe that our experiences are not hidden to God. If we hold on to the faith, believing that the one who promised is faithful, we will reap our reward and when we see what our suffering has accomplished, we will be satisfied. Don’t allow people to convince you that you have probable sinned when you are faced with challenges. Just remember that all who live a Godly life will be persecuted.
